vivo is set to bring the vivo V80 Lite to the Philippines with a 10,000 mAh BlueVolt battery, the largest battery capacity the company has offered globally. The smartphone uses 4th Gen Silicon Anode Technology, which vivo says helps deliver longer battery life without the bulk typically associated with a battery of this size.
vivo has also shared early battery endurance figures ahead of the phone’s local arrival. In laboratory tests, the V80 Lite lasted up to 30 hours of video streaming, 30 hours of TikTok playback, 68 hours of phone calls, and 14 hours of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) gaming in single-app scenarios. The tests started with the phone at 100% charge and took place at an ambient temperature of 25±2°C.
The 10,000 mAh battery also focuses on long-term battery health. vivo says the V80 Lite can retain at least 80% battery health after 1,400 charging cycles. Based on the company’s simulated daily usage pattern of around 1.83 days per full charge and discharge cycle, the figure corresponds to roughly seven years of use.
vivo also designed the battery system to operate across temperatures from -30°C to 45°C. Its semi-solid electrolyte aims to maintain stable power under high-heat conditions, which the company highlights for smartphone use in hot outdoor environments. At 45°C, vivo’s laboratory tests recorded up to 45 hours of continuous calls and 16 hours of navigation.
The company plans to put the V80 Lite through another endurance test in a record-setting feat that it will reveal at a later date. For now, the battery figures give a look at what vivo has achieved in controlled tests before the phone reaches local shelves.
vivo has yet to announce the V80 Lite’s Philippine price, complete specifications, and launch date. The company says more details about local availability, launch plans, and the upcoming endurance milestone will follow through its official channels.
