The Infinix GT 30 Pro continues the tradition of the company streamlining its GT series for the budget gaming market. After the successful run for the GT 20 Pro last year, this upgrade is expected to uplift the competitive DNA of the brand to its users. Right out of the box, this phone makes a statement. With its bold aesthetic and aggressive gamer flair, the GT 30 Pro hits different. Here's our first look and impressions of this smartphone.

What's in the Box?
The standard Infinix GT 30 Pro box is stamped with MPL branding on its cover. This is due to the fact that the phone is the official tournament phone of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League. When we remove its outer cover, we'll be greeted with the main box that comes in silver and gray accents. Inside, we still have the same inserts like the wall adapter, USB-C cable, smartphone case, SIM ejector tool, and some documentation.

We get three striking colorways: Shadow Ash, Blade White, and Dark Flare. We have the Shadow Ash variant which is quite pleasing to the eyes. The Dark Flare (Gaming Master Edition) is bundled with the full Gaming Kit, including the MagCharge Cooler and MagCase. The other two variants also ship with the kit as freebies, so you're not missing out. But it’s the design that really flexes here.
Design: Gaming DNA on the Spotlight
Mechanical Light Waves take center stage on the GT 30 Pro’s back panel. This is a reactive lighting system with over 20+ effects across 14 real-time scenarios. It reacts with kill streak, incoming message, or charging up; the lighting shifts to match the action. Our Shadow Ash unit delivers clean, esports-grade glows. The phone’s back panel is smart, expressive, and tuned for the hype when in-game.

When it comes to ports and buttons, we still have the same no-nonsense placements. The SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and the speaker are all housed on the bottom side, while we have the secondary speaker, microphone, and IR blaster at the top. The right side is quite interesting; aside from the power button and volume rocker, we also have the shoulder triggers.

Speaking of triggers, the phone has a unique GT Trigger system. These capacitive shoulder buttons deliver console-level control with zero physical pressure. Plus, the triggers double as smart shortcuts for snapping photos, launching apps, or controlling music outside of gaming. If paired with the X-BOOST customization suite, there are tons of controls you can do with this hardware.
The overall profile of the GT 30 Pro is quite thin. Unlike other gaming phones in this segment, I find using the phone enjoyable, even in longer gaming sessions.
Display + Hardware
We have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The crisp visuals, ultra-responsive touch, and high refresh rate will keep your gameplay buttery smooth. The phone is also tuned for peak frame rates across titles like MLBB, CODM, PUBG, ROV, and Standoff 2; the latter at 144 FPS. The flat display also makes the GT 30 Pro ideal for gaming.

At its core is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5.5G chip, backed by Infinix’s own 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Cooling system. The phone also features up to 24GB extended RAM and 512GB storage which makes everything feels snappy and smooth.
Booting up, we get Android 15 out of the box with XOS 15 layered on top. The UI looks clean, modern, and packed with a handful of AI features, including Infinix’s own Folax assistant. Around the back, there's a 108MP main camera, paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor. Powering the device is a 5,500mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and bypass charging when needed.
The Wrap: The Real Thing in Gaming?
So far, the GT 30 Pro is shaping up to be a serious contender. It’s fast, it’s cool, and it’s loaded with thoughtful features that matter to real players. And with Infinix locking in official status as the MPL tournament phone, this isn’t just hype. This phone could be the real thing in terms of gaming.
