TECNO has introduced the POVA 8 Pro 5G for the global market. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor, and a new Alive Matrix Display on the rear panel with 177 Mini LED beads. TECNO has yet to announce its price and availability in the Philippines.
TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G Features
The Alive Matrix Display serves as one of the phone's standout hardware features. It uses 177 Mini LED beads and supports more than 49 lighting scenarios that respond to notifications, charging status, and other system events.
The POVA 8 Pro 5G comes with a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 2644 × 1208 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The panel reaches 1,600 nits in High Brightness Mode and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i provides screen protection.
MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 Ultimate powers the device alongside the TECNO P1 graphics chip. TECNO says the dedicated graphics chip supports up to 144 FPS in PUBG Mobile. The feature will become available through a future game update scheduled for October 2026.
The phone offers up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It also packs a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging and bypass charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual nano-SIM, and USB Type-C.
For photography, the POVA 8 Pro 5G features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 13-megapixel front camera. Other features include an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, IP66, IP68, and IP69K dust and water resistance, and HiOS 16 based on Android 16. TECNO has not released pricing or Philippine availability details.
