MANILA - ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the Philippine availability of its 2026 ROG Strix G and ROG Strix SCAR gaming laptops, bringing NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics, upgraded displays, and improved cooling systems to local gamers. Prices start at PHP 159,995 for the ROG Strix G16 and PHP 439,995 for the flagship ROG Strix SCAR 18.
The new lineup targets gamers, streamers, and content creators who need desktop-class performance in a portable form factor. Alongside next-generation hardware, ASUS has also introduced easier upgrade options and refreshed thermal designs across the series.
2026 ROG Strix G Gets RTX 50 Series Graphics and 300Hz Displays
The 2026 ROG Strix G series comes in 16-inch and 18-inch variants. Both feature 2.5K ROG Nebula displays with a 300Hz refresh rate, aimed at competitive gamers who prioritize fast response times and smoother motion.
Powering the lineup are Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPUs. ASUS says the laptops use an upgraded cooling system that combines a vapor chamber, Tri-Fan technology, and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal to help maintain performance during long gaming sessions.
The most affordable configuration, the ROG Strix G16 with an RTX 5050 and Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, starts at PHP 159,995. Higher-end models equipped with RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5080 graphics are also available.

ROG Strix SCAR 18
At the top of the range is the ROG Strix SCAR 18, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.
One of its headline features is the world's first 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED display with more than 2,000 local dimming zones. ROG Nebula ELMB provides up to 16x greater motion clarity, while up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and AGLR technology reduce reflections and enhance contrast by up to 4.5x for exceptionally vivid visuals.
The laptop also receives a redesigned thermal solution that supports up to 320W of total system power in Manual Mode. ASUS claims airflow has improved significantly thanks to larger fans, a thicker vapor chamber, and an improved intake and exhaust layout.
The ROG Strix SCAR 18 is priced at PHP 439,995.

Easier Upgrades and Bundled Extras
A notable addition to the 2026 Strix lineup is ASUS' tool-less upgrade design. Users can access RAM, SSD slots, and cooling components without specialized tools, making future upgrades more straightforward.
The Strix SCAR 18 also features the AniMe Vision lid display, which is originally pioneered on the Zephyrus series, while both Strix G and SCAR models feature a full-surround Aura RGB light bar.
All models sold in the Philippines include a gaming mouse, ROG backpack, three months of PC Game Pass, Office 2024 Lifetime License, one year of Microsoft 365 Basic with free 100 GB cloud storage, and up to 700 GB ASUS Cloud Storage Bundle, as well as ASUS' warranty package that includes three years of local and international coverage plus one year of accidental damage protection.
