Apple has introduced HomeView, a smart home display with a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen, Apple Intelligence, and Siri AI. The device combines home automation, entertainment, video calls, and household monitoring in one hub. It supports personalized user profiles, multiroom audio, and compatible smart home accessories. Apple plans to launch HomeView in select markets on November 13, 2026, although the Philippines is not on the initial availability list.

HomeView features an aluminum body, a stainless steel hinge, and a domed speaker base. Users can place it on a table or mount it on a wall with compatible Schneider Home mounts. The tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray, while the wall-mounted version comes in silver and space gray. Its display supports True Tone and adaptive brightness, with levels from 500 nits down to 0.3 nits.

The device can recognize up to six users and display personalized apps and widgets on each person's Home Screen. It also supports Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. Apple says personal content remains restricted to the recognized user under specific security conditions, while shared photo albums and music remain accessible to the household.

For entertainment, HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple News, Apple TV, and compatible third-party audio and video apps. Its speaker system combines two full-range drivers with a down-firing woofer and two passive radiators. Computational audio adjusts loudness and bass response based on the system's sensors. Users can also connect multiple HomeView, HomePod, HomePod mini, and AirPlay-compatible speakers for multiroom audio.

HomeView also serves as a control center for everyday tasks. Users can make FaceTime calls with Center Stage, reply to messages by voice or through the onscreen keyboard, and send announcements to other compatible Apple devices through Intercom. In the kitchen, Siri can provide step-by-step recipe instructions, manage timers, and help track ingredients.

For home security, HomeView works with compatible cameras and supported iCloud+ features. It can provide alerts for recognized people, pets, packages, and vehicles, as well as detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds. The device also supports compatible Apple Home and Matter accessories, including products from Apple's new Home Collection, which includes cameras, thermostats, and a smart lock.

Apple says privacy remains a core part of HomeView's design. Its A18 chip includes Secure Exclaves that isolate camera and microphone data from the rest of the system. Siri requests can run on the device or through Private Cloud Compute. Apple says data processed through the latter service is neither stored nor accessible to the company.
