vivo has officially launched the V80 Lite 5G, a new mid-range smartphone with a 7050mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, 6.83-inch 1.5K POLED display, and 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The vivo V80 Lite 5G uses a 4nm Dimensity 7360-Turbo platform with an octa-core CPU. It also supports 8GB of extended RAM, while the internal storage uses UFS 3.1. vivo claims the phone can maintain smooth performance for up to 50 months, with three generations of OS updates and five years of security patches.
The phone packs a 6.83-inch 1.5K POLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 449ppi pixel density, and up to 2,000 nits of high-brightness mode. The display also carries SGS certifications for low blue light, low flicker, and sunlight readability.
For photography enthusiasts, the V80 Lite 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with a 2MP bokeh camera on the rear. It also has a 32MP front camera with a wide-angle lens. The phone supports 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras, along with features such as AI Erase 2.0, Aura Light Portrait, Dual-View Video, and Live Photo.
The 7050 mAh battery is one of the key hardware features of the V80 Lite 5G. It supports 44W FlashCharge, bypass charging, and a Battery Life Extender feature for emergency use. vivo says the battery can retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 complete charge cycles under its laboratory testing conditions.
The V80 Lite 5G also comes with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, plus five MIL-STD-810H certifications. vivo says the phone underwent drop tests from a height of one meter across seven smooth surfaces.
For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual nano-SIM cards. It uses a USB Type-C port and has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack are not listed among its features.
vivo lists the V80 Lite 5G in Silk White and Sapphire Blue. The 8GB+128GB model costs Rs. 124,999 in Pakistan, while the 8GB+256GB version costs Rs. 145,999.
With its large battery, 1.5K 120Hz display, 5G connectivity, and Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, the V80 Lite 5G puts several high-end hardware features into a mid-range package. vivo has yet to list Philippine pricing or availability on its local website.
