POCO is set to launch the F9 Series in the Philippines, with the POCO Philippines Facebook account hinting at local pricing ahead of the global debut. The lineup is expected to include the POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra, with flagship chipsets, large batteries, and 100W charging.
POCO Philippines also confirmed the local release through a Facebook post that hinted at Philippine prices for the F9 Series. The post adds to the September 1 global launch announcement and suggests that local pricing details could follow soon.
The POCO F9 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch QHD+ Plastic OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. The F9 Ultra could come with a larger 6.85-inch display with a 2608 x 1200 resolution. TCL CSOT reportedly worked on both panels, while Xiaomi handled design and material selection.
Under the hood, the F9 Pro is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, while the F9 Ultra could run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both models may offer up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Battery capacity could be one of the key differences between the two models. Reports point to a 6,330mAh battery for the F9 Pro and an 8,050mAh battery for the F9 Ultra. Both phones are expected to support 100W wired charging and USB Power Delivery.
The two phones are also tipped to feature Bose-tuned speakers, IP69 certification, and metal frames. The F9 Pro could use stereo speakers, while the F9 Ultra may get a 2.1-channel setup and an LED notification ring around its camera module.
For now, the exact Philippine launch date and local pricing remain under wraps. POCO has also listed pre-order freebies for the F9 Pro, including a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active and Redmi Buds 6 Play worth PHP 2,148 in total.
