HONOR has officially launched the HONOR Robot Phone, a smartphone with a built-in 4DoF mechanical gimbal, AI-powered motion control and camera technologies developed with ARRI. The company announced the device globally on August 12, but it has yet to confirm its Philippine availability and pricing.
The HONOR Robot Phone features the company’s Titanium Agile Gimbal, a 4DoF mechanical system with more than 100 precision components and over 100 patents. HONOR said it reduced the system’s size by 65% while increasing its structural strength by 200%. The 2.6-gram titanium gimbal motor can move at up to 360 degrees per second.
The phone also marks the first product from HONOR’s Cinematic Imaging Partnership with ARRI. Its camera system combines ARRI Image Science technologies with HONOR’s H1 Image Chip and supports ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks. This puts more control over color and post-production into the mobile video workflow.
For imaging, the HONOR Robot Phone has a 200MP Agile Gimbal Main Camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and f/1.6 aperture, plus a 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 2.7x optical zoom. A 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view completes the rear camera setup. The main camera also supports 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording in ARRI CINEMA mode.
The gimbal also works with the phone’s AI features. MagicOS introduces YOYO Robot Mode, which combines multimodal perception, gesture recognition and physical movement. Voice Source Localization and AI Live-Tracking can control the camera arm to keep a user in frame during vlogs, livestreams and video calls. The phone also supports hands-free gestures and AI SpinShot.
On the hardware side, the HONOR Robot Phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and has a 7,060mAh silicon-carbon battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also has a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 6,800 nits peak brightness and 4320Hz PWM dimming.
The HONOR Robot Phone first appeared at Mobile World Congress 2026 in March before HONOR demonstrated its stabilized tracking capabilities at Cannes Film Festival’s China Night and the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival. HONOR has now started its commercial rollout, while details on the phone’s Philippine launch have yet to be announced.
