MANILA - TECNO has pulled back the curtain on the Spark 50 Pro, the latest addition to its budget smartphone lineup. While key details such as pricing and availability remain under wraps, the company has revealed enough to give buyers an early look at what the device has to offer. Based on the specifications announced so far, the Spark 50 Pro combines a durable design, a large battery, fast charging support, and a Sony-powered camera package in a smartphone aimed at value-conscious buyers.
The Spark 50 Pro features a refreshed design that immediately draws attention. Its rear camera layout carries a premium-inspired appearance, while the slim 7.8mm body houses a large battery and enhanced durability features.
Up front, the device comes with a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate should provide smoother scrolling and a more responsive experience across apps, social media, and mobile games. Dual DTS stereo speakers are also included to improve audio performance.
Photography is handled by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. TECNO has paired the sensor with several AI-powered camera tools designed to improve image quality and simplify photo editing. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes an 8MP front-facing camera.
Powering the device is MediaTek's Helio G100 Ultimate processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports microSD card expansion for users who need extra space.
The Spark 50 Pro comes with either a 5,600mAh or 6,000mAh battery, depending on the market. Both versions support 60W wired fast charging, which TECNO says can replenish the battery to 63 percent in 30 minutes and reach a full charge in about 55 minutes. The company also claims the battery is designed to retain more than 80 percent of its original capacity after six years of regular use.
Durability is another major highlight. The Spark 50 Pro carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and is rated to survive drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters.
The device runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and includes several AI features such as Ella AI Agent, AI Health Assistant, and AI Noise Cancellation for clearer voice calls.
