Redmi Pad 2 9.7 now official in PH, starts at Php 7,999

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 in the Philippines, expanding its entry-level tablet lineup with a more compact and affordable option. The device follows earlier releases in Malaysia and Singapore and arrives with a starting price of Php 7,999 for the WiFi-only model. A variant with 4G connectivity is also available for users who need mobile data access on the go.

The tablet runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It features a 9.7-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2048 x 1280 resolution, and up to 600 nits brightness. Xiaomi includes a 7,600mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The device also retains stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD expansion, along with a metal unibody design.

For imaging, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 uses an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It runs on HyperOS 3 out of the box and supports WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and optional 4G connectivity. The tablet targets users who need a device for multimedia consumption, light work tasks, and everyday use at a lower price point.
