TECNO officially launched the CAMON 40 Series in the Philippines. This series is the company's most advanced AI-powered smartphones to date. The lineup includes the CAMON 40 Premier 5G, CAMON 40 Pro 5G, and CAMON 40, all equipped with AI-enhanced imaging systems and smart features aimed at improving user experience. TECNO officially introduced pop icon Sarah Geronimo as the brand ambassador for its latest CAMON 40 Series. According to TECNO Region Marketing Director Nana Chen, Sarah’s strong connection with Filipino audiences supports the brand’s mission to offer advanced smartphones that capture meaningful moments with clarity and ease.
The CAMON 40 Series debuts FlashSnap, a one-tap AI snapshot tool designed to capture fast-moving scenes with precision. It integrates AI-powered multi-frame processing to reduce noise and improve image sharpness. The BestMoment AI algorithm analyzes motion in real time and automatically selects the best frames for more accurate captures.
Advanced Camera Capabilities + TECNO AI
At the top of the lineup, the CAMON 40 Premier 5G features a 50MP Sony LYT-701 Ultra Night Camera, 50MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera, 50MP Periscope Telephoto Camera, and 50MP Auto-Focus Front Camera. It supports 4K 60fps Ultra Night Video via a dedicated imaging chip. The CAMON 40 Pro 5G scored 138 on DXOMARK, ranking No.1 in the global category for smartphones under $600 and receiving the 2025 DXOMARK Smart Choice Label.
The CAMON 40 Series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate AI Processor, delivering up to 330% improvement in AI tasks. AI Call Assistant features include Call Translation, Call Summary, Auto Answer, and industry-first AI Call Noise Cancellation. Productivity tools such as AI Writing, Circle to Search, and Bluetooth-compatible real-time translation are also built-in.
TECNO upgrades its Universal Tone technology to offer more accurate and inclusive portrait rendering. Additional tools like AI Image Extender, AI Eraser 2.0, AIGC Portrait 2.0, AI Perfect Face, and AI Sharpness Plus enhance image customization and editing flexibility.
Design and Hardware
The CAMON 40 Premier 5G and CAMON 40 Pro 5G come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. The standard CAMON 40 is IP66 rated. All three variants feature Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and 360-degree Drop Resistance. TÜV Rheinland certification ensures 72-month performance without lag. The Swan-neck Curve design and the Space Ring camera module add a refined look to the series.
The series features an Ultra Bright AMOLED screen, stereo dual speakers, and Dolby Atmos for a complete entertainment experience. The CAMON 40 Premier 5G includes a 5100mAh battery with 70W Ultra Charge support. All models offer up to 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with memory fusion capabilities.
