A Focus on Local Talent

Predator Gaming’s commitment to fostering local talent was evident throughout the tournament. Leading up to the finals, four regional qualifying rounds took place across the Philippines, giving aspiring players the chance to compete on a national stage.

The Philippine Finals featured a total prize pool of PHP 1,000,000, with the champions of each game taking home PHP 250,000 and securing a spot in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 Grand Finals.

In the Dota 2 Grand Finals, experienced team Execration faced off against the rising squad Ivory. The series was closely contested, with Execration's veteran player and in-form mid laner Charles “Lewis” Santos, putting on standout performances.

Despite Ivory’s strong showing, Execration’s experience ultimately made the difference. Alongside Lewis, carry player Denz “Denzsanity” Anedez played a key role in the victory, averaging 7.5 kills and 10.5 assists throughout the series.

VALORANT: ZOL Esports Sweeps to Victory

ZOL Esports Sweeps to Victory in VALORANT

The VALORANT Grand Finals saw a showdown between collegiate champions DLSU VALORANT Esports and the seasoned pro team ZOL Esports. Despite having less competitive LAN experience, DLSU made a strong run to the finals, proving they could hold their own against established teams like ZOL.

However, ZOL Esports proved to be the stronger side, dominating the series with a 2-0 sweep. ZOL’s Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza played a key role in the victory, delivering crucial clutch plays across both maps.

For DLSU, led by Xavier “Xavi8k” Juan, it was a tough loss, especially considering Xavi8k’s previous success with Oasis Gaming, when they defeated ZOL Esports in the 2024 Predator League Philippine Finals. This victory was all the more sweet for ZOL Esports, as it marked a redemption after last year’s defeat.

Teams to Represent the Philippines in Kuala Lumpur

As champions of the Philippine Finals, Execration, Ivory, and ZOL Esports secured their spots in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They will join Team Secret in representing the Philippines and competing against the best teams from across the region.
