DITO Telecommunity detected "signals" in Luzon due to network optimizations

DITO Luzon Signals

DITO Telecommunity acknowledges "intermittent" signals being transmitted from its networks in some parts of Luzon. However, the third telco immediately quash the stories that it would be launching in Luzon sooner rather than later.

DITO representative cites in an official statement that these signals are possibly caused by its continuous network optimization which will led to eventual launch in the country's biggest island region.

The Dennis Uy-led company is yet to announce the exact date on when to commercially launch in Luzon. Earlier this month, DITO Telecommunity's products and services became available in 15 areas in Visayas and Mindanao region, and is expected to be in Luzon  in "a few weeks time."

"The network continuously undergoes optimization. This is done to ensure excellent customer service by the time we announce commercial operations especially in parts of NCR and Luzon," DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano.

DITO Telecommunity is doubling down its efforts in building towers and base stations to achieve its goal of covering at least 30 percent of users nationwide.

DITO has recently been approved by the senate for another 25-year franchise since its original franchise from Mindanao Islamic Telephone Co. will expire on 2023.
