Apple to release iOS 6.0.1 minor update in weeks, promises iOS6.1 after the holidays

In my entire life of being an Apple user, I have never been bombarded with considerable number of app-crashes since I updated to iOS6. I had my own kind criticisms for the software update but at the end of the day I would always welcome it because it is afterall – an update.

But the buzz of Apple testing a brand new iOS 6.0.1 seems like a brand new dawn of this long night of disappointment. BGR reports that the said update will be available in the coming weeks as said by one of their “Apple Sources.”

The update will come with a fix to the horizontal line on keyboard bug mostly found in iPhone 5. Passbook bugs have also been fixed, as well as the unexpected exchange meetings cancellation. Camera flash bug has also been solved. Meanwhile, performance improvements include WiFi support and more reliable internet data connectivity.

This minor update will not include new features but BGR has also cited that Apple is now working on the iOS6.1 update that will be released after the Christmas season. So this burst the bubble of the iPad Mini having the iOS6.1 out of the box as it is expected to be released in Apple’s media event later today.
