Xiaomi Philippines will launch the REDMI Note 17 Series in the Philippines on September 15. The series brings the REDMI Note 17 lineup to the country with up to 3-meter drop resistance across the series, alongside upgraded hardware and durability features.
In a facebook post, Xiaomi Philippines confirmed the local release date of the series, but has yet to confirm the exact REDMI Note 17 models that will launch locally. The global lineup includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17 4G.
Durability takes center stage across the lineup. The REDMI Note 17 Series supports up to 3-meter drop resistance, which adds another layer of protection against accidental drops and everyday bumps.
The series also comes with Titan Durability, with Xiaomi highlighting its focus on protection for daily use. The phones feature upgraded structural protection alongside dust and water resistance on select models.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G sits at the top of the lineup. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of brightness in sunlight mode. The display also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added protection.
Under the hood, the global version of the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage, with higher-capacity variants using UFS 4.1. The phone carries a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The battery is another major part of the Pro Max's hardware. It packs a 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual nano-SIM, eSIM support, and an IR blaster. The phone also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It also features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and face unlock.
With the Philippine launch now set for September 15, Xiaomi is expected to reveal the local lineup, pricing, availability, and launch offers during the event. The 3-meter drop resistance across the series will also be one of the key durability features to watch at launch.
