Nothing Headphone (1) Pro debuts with triple-driver audio, 68-hour battery life

Nothing has launched the Headphone (1) Pro, its new premium over-ear wireless headphones. In a YouTube video, Nothing intros the headphones with a triple-driver audio system, adaptive active noise cancellation, and up to 68 hours of playback. The new model also adds a Flat EQ mode developed with London-based Metropolis Studios and supports LDAC, Hi-Res Audio, and Auracast.

The Headphone (1) Pro keeps Nothing’s distinctive industrial design while moving into a more premium audio category. The headphones use aluminum in their construction and retain transparent elements around the earcups. The Pro model comes in black and white.

Triple-driver system targets a wider range of sound

The biggest hardware change sits inside the earcups. The Headphone (1) Pro uses three drivers that handle different parts of the frequency range. The setup includes an xMEMS driver for high frequencies, while the other drivers handle the remaining range.

Nothing also worked with Metropolis Studios in London on the headphones’ sound tuning. The Pro model includes a Flat EQ mode that removes additional sound processing to provide a more unaltered audio output.

The headphones support LDAC and Hi-Res Audio, along with wired playback through a 3.5mm headphone jack. USB-C audio is also supported.

Adaptive ANC uses 10 microphones

The Headphone (1) Pro comes with a 10-microphone system for active noise cancellation and voice processing. Its adaptive ANC adjusts to the surrounding environment, while Transparency Mode lets ambient sound through when users need to stay aware of what is happening around them.

Nothing also adds spatial audio with head tracking. The feature keeps the audio field centered as the listener moves their head, which can be useful for movies, games, and other supported content.

Physical controls remain part of the design

The Headphone (1) Pro continues Nothing’s use of tactile physical controls instead of relying entirely on touch gestures. The headphones feature controls for playback and volume, along with a dedicated Flat EQ switch on the left earcup.

The headphones support Bluetooth 6.1 for wireless connectivity and include a 3.5mm port for wired listening. The combination gives users more flexibility when switching between wireless playback, mobile devices, and wired audio sources.

Up to 68 hours of playback

Battery life reaches up to 68 hours with ANC turned off, according to The Verge's review published on launch day. The headphones also support fast charging for users who need additional playback time without waiting for a full charge.

The Pro model also carries an IP52 rating for dust and light water resistance, according to reports based on the product specifications.

Price and availability

The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is priced at US$399, which puts it US$100 above the original Headphone (1), which launched at US$299. The European price is listed at €349.

Nothing's Philippines website currently lists the standard Headphone (1). There's no official Philippine price or local availability announcement for the Headphone (1) Pro at the time of writing.

For now, the Headphone (1) Pro marks Nothing's move further into premium over-ear audio, with the triple-driver architecture, studio tuning, adaptive ANC, and spatial audio forming the core of the new model.
