Three Technologies Behind TCL Super-QD MiniLED
TCL improves picture quality through three key technology advancements: Precise Dimming, Super QLED, and Ultra Color Filter. Together, they enhance backlight control, color performance, and color accuracy.
1. Precise Dimming enhances backlight control through upgraded light-emitting chips, next-generation micro-lens technology, reduced halo interference, micro-OD design, and advanced light control algorithms. The result is higher brightness, better uniformity, improved dark-scene performance, smoother motion, and a slimmer TV profile.
2. Super QLED takes color performance further with 33% wider color gamut, 17% higher color purity, and 45% blue light energy optimization. This delivers richer colors, purer expression, and a more comfortable viewing experience.
3. Ultra Color Filter improves color filtering precision with upgraded materials and a refined process developed over five years. With particle sizes smaller than 5 nanometers, it helps reduce color impurities and restore colors more accurately on screen.

TCL X11L Showcases the New Technology
The TCL X11L is one of the first televisions to showcases the company's latest Mini LED TV technology. TCL describes it as the world's first Super-QD MiniLED flagship TV.
At CES 2026, it received the Innovative Display Technology Gold Award at the GTB Awards, a respected global consumer electronics honor founded by International Data Group (IDG) and supported by IDC.

Built on TCL's Mini LED Leadership
The introduction of Super-QD MiniLED also comes as TCL continues to strengthen its position in the global television market.
"TCL's mission has always been to make advanced technology accessible while continuing to push the boundaries of what display products can do. Whether in the home, or wearable devices, we see our display products as the interface between people and the digital world,” said Daniel Sun, Chief Technology Officer at TCL Industries.
That commitment is also reflected in TCL's global market performance. According to Omdia, TCL ranked No. 1 worldwide in shipment market share for 75-inch-and-above TVs in 2025, No. 1 in global Mini LED TV shipment market share in 2025, and No. 1 in global Google TV shipment market share from 2021 to 2025.
More Than a Name Upgrade
Super-QD MiniLED represents more than a naming upgrade. By combining Precise Dimming, Super QLED, and Ultra Color Filter into one display platform, TCL aims to improve the overall viewing experience through better light control, richer colors, and more accurate picture reproduction.
As demand for larger TVs and higher picture quality continues to grow, Super-QD MiniLED becomes the foundation for TCL's next generation of premium televisions.
