MANILA — As smartphone batteries continue to face heavier daily workloads, realme is placing long-term battery health at the center of its upcoming C100 Series, set to launch in the Philippines on June 18.
Ahead of the official launch, realme revealed key details about the realme C100 and realme C100i, two budget smartphones built around large batteries and enhanced durability. Rather than focusing solely on battery size, the company is highlighting how long these batteries are expected to retain their capacity after years of use.
The realme C100 features an 8000mAh Titan Battery, while the realme C100i comes with a 7000mAh battery. According to realme, both devices can deliver up to 1.5 days of use on a single charge.
What makes the lineup stand out is its focus on battery longevity. The company says the realme C100 can retain at least 80 percent of its battery health after seven years of daily use. Meanwhile, the C100i is rated to maintain the same capacity level after six years.
realme C100 Series Focuses on Battery Life and Durability
Beyond battery performance, the realme C100 Series also targets users who need extra protection from everyday accidents.
Both models come with ArmorShell Protection and carry MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance certification. realme says the devices can withstand drops of up to two meters.
The higher-end realme C100 also receives an IP69 rating, which provides protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water exposure. The realme C100i carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and splashes.
The devices also feature distinct color options. The realme C100 will be available in Glory White, Endurance Brown, and Victory Purple, all featuring the company's Blooming Design finish. The realme C100i will arrive in Dawn Purple and Dusk Gray.
realme will officially launch the C100 Series via livestream on June 18 through its official Facebook page. Pricing, specifications, and availability details will be announced during the event.
With battery life and durability often among the top priorities for budget smartphone buyers, the realme C100 Series appears set to focus on two features that matter most in everyday use.
