TCL, the global No. 1 brand in air conditioner sales and a Triple Global Top 1 TV brand, has launched its first Air Conditioning Training Program in partnership with TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR. The TCL - TESDA Center in Taguig City will serve as a dedicated training hub for aspiring technicians to gain hands-on experience and technical skills in air conditioning systems, supporting the growth of the local workforce and enhancing industry standards.
The TCL–TESDA Training Program aims to equip Filipino trainees with practical, real-world skills using industry-grade equipment. The initiative aligns with TCL Philippines’ goal of nurturing a job-ready and technically proficient workforce, directly contributing to employability and long-term productivity in the air conditioning sector.
“This marks a special milestone for us - the very first batch of the TCL-TESDA Training Program. It's a huge privilege to officially welcome the pioneer batch for the TCL Training Program at TESDA RTC-NCR. Our goal is to empower a new generation of highly skilled workers. We anticipate many more successful training cycles and look forward to endorsing our future graduates to TCL’s authorized service centers, where they can apply their skills and explore career opportunities,” said Joseph Cernitchez, Brand Manager of TCL Philippines.
For TESDA, the collaboration with TCL enhances technical training opportunities in HVAC, giving participants valuable exposure to industry practices. “Today marks a significant milestone for TCL, TESDA, and, more importantly, for our trainees who are about to embark on a journey that combines knowledge, skill building, and future-ready opportunities. TCL as an industry partner, is also opening doors to potential employment pipelines through its service centers and networks,” said Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator of TESDA RTC–NCR.
The inaugural batch of the TCL Training Program consisted of 25 trainees who completed a one-day hands-on course at the newly opened TCL-TESDA Center in Taguig. The training focused on air conditioning repair, installation, and maintenance, conducted by TCL Product and Service team members who shared their technical expertise.
Participants also received comprehensive training on TCL’s air conditioning innovations, including FreshIN and VoxIN technologies. The program covered both the functional aspects of installation and repair and TCL’s unique smart appliance features, such as Voice Command and the TCL Home App. These components allowed trainees to understand the brand’s technological edge in air conditioning solutions.
At the conclusion of the training, each participant received a certificate of completion, equipping them with credentials that can help secure employment at TCL’s authorized and partner service centers. This initiative underscores TCL’s commitment to workforce development and industry collaboration.
