Switching to the 50MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.0, 115.6° field of view) opened new possibilities. I could include the entire rides, crowd, and sky without distortion creeping in. I could say that this sensor has been optimized well to give improved shots compared to the previous models. The ultra-wide kept colors natural and tones balanced, even under harsh light.
For a phone in its segment, the daytime performance was consistently strong. It has reliable color science, fast autofocus, and HDR that handled unpredictable lighting transitions smoothly.
Golden Hour: The Transition Test
As afternoon shifted into evening, I began preparing for what’s usually the toughest time for smartphone cameras, the golden hour. The park’s lamp posts and neon rides started coming alive. The Ferris Wheel became my subject due to its imposing lights. The OIS helped tremendously, letting me shoot handheld without noticeable shake. The phone managed to retain most details while controlling light flares from nearby lamps. I found out that using Silhouette mode can make you tone down overexposure when shooting with multiple light sources. The photos end up sharp and great for sharing.
I also tested video again at night, this time in a mini concert on the events area. The results were consistent: 4K 60fps footage with solid stabilization and good color balance. Audio pickup was clean, even with background chatter from the crowd. In daytime, 4K videos looks crisp and vibrant.
I also tried to use the digital zoom, and the 85mm magnification or 4x digital zoom, the image is quite passable with softness in tone and short of details.

The large 1/1.56″ sensor on the main camera captures more light, which translates into sharper details and better low-light performance. The ultra-wide camera complements the main sensor perfectly, maintaining clarity across the frame. During my shoot, I noticed minimal color shift between the two lenses. It's a sign of careful color calibration. The user interface also helped. Switching modes or lenses felt seamless, and the on-screen exposure and focus controls gave me real creative control.
