ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the launch of the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X in the Philippines, powered by AMD Ryzen Z2 Series processors and designed in collaboration with Xbox for enhanced handheld gaming performance.

The new ROG Xbox Ally series introduces upgraded hardware and improved ergonomics, combining the best of Xbox and PC gaming in a single handheld device. The ROG Xbox Ally runs on the AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor, while the ROG Xbox Ally X features the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor for high-end performance in AAA titles.
Both models run Windows 11 and offer a full-screen Xbox experience optimized for handheld use. Players can access settings, navigate with joysticks and buttons, and use the Game Bar through the Xbox button for quick adjustments. The devices also support third-party games and mods for extended flexibility.
“ASUS and AMD share a deep-rooted, decades-long commitment to innovation and co-engineering, pushing the boundaries of high-performance computing for gamers,” said Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at AMD. “With ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, we are combining the best of AMD’s silicon, ASUS’s design expertise, and Xbox’s gaming ecosystem.”
The ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip that supports upcoming AI-powered features such as Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR) and Highlight Reels. These features will enhance graphics, improve performance, and automatically capture gameplay highlights.
Xbox’s new Handheld Compatibility Program ensures that thousands of PC games are optimized for the ROG Xbox Ally series. Titles labeled “Handheld Optimized” or “Mostly Compatible” will deliver a seamless gaming experience. Xbox also introduced advanced shader delivery, which allows supported games to load up to 10 times faster and use less power.
ASUS also introduced the ROG Xbox Ally 2-in-1 Premium Case, designed to protect the handhelds from spills, drops, and scratches. The case includes a detachable pouch for the 65W charger and other accessories.

The ROG Xbox Ally X (PHP 56,995) and ROG Xbox Ally (PHP 36,995) will be available in the Philippines starting October 16, 2025.
