That size, combined with the 4K AI Upscaling, makes the monitor versatile enough for almost any usage I can think of for a smart monitor. In terms of display quality, the texts look crisp and icons are sharp. The extra screen real estate is also a welcome feature if you’re the type who juggles multiple windows at once.
For gamers, the immersive factor is definitely there. The screen may not be curved, but the sheer size still pulls you in. Watching 4K content or playing visually rich games feels rewarding. The details definitely pop, and you get that “big canvas” effect without going into the ultra-wide territory, which could be off-putting to me, especially that I'm using monitors in making articles.
From a daily use perspective, the size also helps reduce clutter. Using it, I realized that I don’t necessarily need a dual-monitor setup when I have 32 inches of screen to work with. AI Upscaling
A lot of monitors boast 4K resolution, but not all content you watch or stream is 4K. That’s where the NQM AI Processor comes in. It upscales lower-resolution content to look closer to native 4K.
I tested this with older YouTube videos and some 1080p Netflix content, and the difference was noticeable. Edges look cleaner, details sharper, and overall it feels less grainy. Of course, it can’t perform miracles, if a video is poorly compressed, you’ll still see artifacts. However, for average streaming, it’s a nice bonus that makes casual viewing more pleasant.
It also benefits gaming, particularly with consoles like the Nintendo Switch that don’t output in native 4K. While hardcore gamers may still prefer dedicated gaming monitors with higher refresh rates, the M8’s upscaling does a decent job of making non-4K games look more polished.

Another scenario is you could play console games while keeping a browser window open next to it. There are multiple possibilities that you can do with this feature. You can manually preset your own layout using the Make My Own icon so that you can pull up your favorite multi views anytime.
In practice, it feels like having a built-in picture-in-picture mode, but more flexible. The screen is large enough to handle this without feeling cramped, and the 4K resolution ensures that text and visuals stay sharp even when split. I also use this feature when using DeX or mirroring my Galaxy phone to the monitor.

Another small but useful tool is Auto Source Switch+. It automatically detects when you connect a new device and switches over instantly. I find this very useful since I am using an external bluetooth speaker for the monitor. The Samsung M8 automatically detects my external speakers and prompts me to connect to it.
