HONOR launched the Magic V5 foldable smartphone in the Philippines through Globe, introducing the world’s thinnest and lightest inward-folding device. The smartphone is available with Globe’s All-New GPlan PLUS 1799 with a monthly cash out of Php 2,813.

The HONOR Magic V5 features an ultra-slim 8.8mm body and a weight of 217 grams, combining portability with durability. The device carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance, reinforced by a Carbon Fiber Inner Display Panel, Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, and a hinge system with 2300 MPa tensile strength for smooth folding action.
The foldable smartphone offers a 7.95-inch inner display for productivity and multitasking, along with a 6.43-inch outer screen for everyday use. It debuts the industry’s first 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery in the 1TB variant, paired with HONOR E2 and SoC voltage regulator chips for efficiency, safety, and thermal control. Charging support includes 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge.
The Magic V5 also integrates the HONOR AI Falcon Camera System with a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP wide camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. These work with advanced AI image processing for detailed photos and videos across all zoom levels.
Running on MagicOS 9.0.1, the device introduces the YOYO AI agent for productivity tasks such as file sharing, coding, and screen sharing. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chip and supports the widest 5G band coverage in foldable smartphones.
The HONOR Magic V5 is available in Dawn Gold and Reddish Brown through Globe Postpaid. Customers can avail it via All-New GPlan PLUS 1799 with a Php 2,813 monthly cash out for 24 months. Each plan includes a free HONOR Pad X8a worth Php 7,999.
Globe Postpaid’s All-New GPlan PLUS offers flexibility with features such as data conversion to calls, texts, or partner services through the GlobeOne app. Customers can also choose between 0% credit card installment of up to 36 months or a charge-to-bill option for renewing subscribers.
