Construction of the SM Megamall Busway Station and Concourse will begin on Saturday, August 9, 2025. The facility will link the EDSA Bus Carousel to SM Megamall Building A through a covered walkway.

To accommodate the construction, the northbound lanes of EDSA–Ortigas Avenue will close nightly from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. A partial closure will apply from Monday to Thursday, while full closures will occur from Friday to Sunday. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced a rerouting plan during the construction period.
Despite the closures, the EDSA Busway will remain fully operational, with 24/7 trips continuing as scheduled. Construction is expected to be completed by October 18, 2025.

SM Megamall Busway Station: The Routing Plan
The DOTr and SM Megamall outlined several rerouting options for light vehicles. Those using the Shaw Underpass or Shaw Service Road may turn right onto Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, then turn left onto Bank Drive, and exit back to EDSA via a final right turn.

Another route involves a right turn onto Shaw Boulevard, then left onto San Miguel Avenue, leading to ADB Avenue. Motorists may take a U-turn at Guadix Drive, followed by a right turn onto EDSA.

Motorists may also turn right onto Camino Verde Road or Oranbo Drive, both of which lead to Meralco Avenue. From there, they may access Ortigas Avenue and return to EDSA.

EDSA northbound motorists may turn right onto Pioneer Street, followed by left or right turns onto Shaw Boulevard. From Shaw, options include routes through Camino Verde, Captain Henry Javier, or San Miguel Avenue, all connecting to Ortigas Avenue and back to EDSA.

Heavy vehicles are advised to turn right onto Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, then left onto Meralco Avenue, and another left onto Ortigas Avenue before re-entering EDSA.
