The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ is arriving in the country with a bold promise: the slimmest 3D-curved smartphone with a “thinness” of under 6 millimeters. The phone spearheads the upcoming HOT 60 Series, which is set to launch in the country soon. At just 5.95mm, it’s so thin it’s like you're holding an embossed card rather than a smartphone. It feels uniquely different from any other device in its price range, and that's why I was all eyes and ears when I tried it for the first time.
This is a quick first look into what it’s like to handle the HOT 60 Pro+, and why its design is worth talking about. But first, let’s take it out of the box!
What’s in the Box?
There’s also a slim hard-plastic case included. I love this case, it does not take away from the phone’s slim profile; in fact, it accentuates it. All in all, this is a generous set of items at this price range.
Design and Handling
The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ frames a 6.78-inch screen. Despite this, the smartphone feels surprisingly compact because of the form factor. The back curves softly into the frame, and the edges are comfortable to grip. It’s easy to slide into any pocket or clutch without bulging, and handling it with one hand is doable for light tasks.
The ultra-slim profile means there’s practically no fatigue when holding it for long periods. To be honest, it’s hard to put down once I start using it. This phone is ideal for scrolling, reading, or watching short-form content.
It also amazes me how Infinix designed this very thin phone without sacrificing the tactile buttons on the side. For a brief roll call, we have the power button on the right, together with the volume rocker. The power button comes with a green accent, which adds flair to the phone. Likewise, we don’t have a physical fingerprint scanner here, but that’s quite understandable. The top side has a microphone, “Sound by JBL” branding, and secondary speakers. At the bottom, we have the usual SIM tray, primary microphone, main speakers, and the USB-C port.
The placement is right where it needs to be, no awkward reaching. Meanwhile, the back panel is quite subtle. We have the Titanium Silver colorway here, which is very clean and minimalist. If you want a splash of color in your device, you can go with Coral Tides and Misty Violet colorways. For the classic lovers, there’s also a Sleek Black option.
There’s a vertical camera module that obviously protrudes, making the phone wobble when placed on a flat surface. The overall weight is balanced, and nothing feels top-heavy. Even with the large display, the phone never feels bulky.
Display and UI Setup
Speaking of the display, you get a bright, crisp screen that wraps subtly at the edges, thanks to the 3D curve construction. Bezels are kept minimal, and they’re also uniform in dimension (though the bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the rest). The punch-hole camera is unobtrusive, which is quite a good thing. The display is bright and features a high-contrast panel. On first use, I think this is an excellent display with good color accuracy and saturation.
Setting up the phone was smooth. XOS 15, based on Android 15, runs cleanly and responds well during the initial walkthrough. There’s no major bloatware to fight with, and everything feels tuned to get you going fast. The Infinix HOT 60 Series features Google Gemini AI and Circle to Search, offering smarter tools for easier search, multitasking, and everyday tasks.
Initial Impressions
At first touch, the HOT 60 Pro+ delivers on its headline feature: the thinnest smartphone under 6mm. And it’s not just for show, it changes the way the phone feels and carries in everyday use. It slips into jeans, card slots, and shirt pockets with barely a bulge. If you’re tired of heavy, bulky devices, this could be a refreshing shift.
I'm still holding back my full thoughts until I test the performance, camera, and battery life over the next few days. But based on design and handling alone, this phone is already a conversation starter.
Early Verdict
The HOT 60 Pro+ redefines how slim a smartphone can be, without feeling like it sacrificed substance for style. With its under-6mm 3D-curved profile, it leads the #PaperThinPhone movement while still looking and feeling premium. It’s shaping up to be a strong visual and ergonomic statement in the midrange segment. I'm excited to see more once the rest of the HOT 60 Series is officially revealed soon.
