BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility introduced their first campus showcase at De La Salle University (DLSU) from February 10 to 12, 2025. The event at Henry Sy Sr. Hall Grounds featured the latest advancements in electrified vehicle technology. DLSU students, faculty, and staff explored BYD’s lineup of electric vehicles and learned more about sustainable transportation.
Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines, emphasized the importance of introducing electric vehicle technology to young Filipinos. He highlighted how the campus showcase at De La Salle University (DLSU) provided an opportunity for students to explore innovations that could shape the future of mobility.
The BYD Tech Tour featured the latest electric vehicles, including the Sealion 6 DM-i, Seagull, and Seal. Attendees viewed live demonstrations and engaged with product specialists who explained key specifications and features. The event allowed students and faculty to experience BYD’s electric vehicles firsthand.
Beyond vehicle displays, the event included activities focused on sustainability and electric vehicle awareness. Visitors participated in interactive exhibits and had the chance to win prizes from ACMobility. The initiative aimed to educate attendees on the benefits of electric mobility in daily life.
The DLSU Eco Archers Team also showcased their Zeta Urban Concept vehicle, developed for the Shell Eco-Marathon. This marked the vehicle’s first public appearance since competing in Indonesia in July 2024. The team’s participation reinforced the role of student innovation in advancing sustainable transportation.
Aiffy Liu, Country Head of BYD Philippines, underscored the company’s commitment to inspiring future generations through technology. She highlighted how the campus tech tour encouraged young minds to embrace green solutions and contribute to a cleaner environment.
