Sony Xperia C4 specs now official; the next generation "selfie smartphone"

Sony announces Xperia C4 and C4 Dual “selfie phones”. Both phones come with a very promising feature set that could give smaller Chinese players a run for their money. The device is strategically aimed for the mid-range department wherein Xiaomi, Asus and Meizu are kings. Despite of the undying rumors of selling its smartphone division, Sony remains aggressive in this time frame by releasing midrange phones after the Xperia Z4 flagship launch last month. So what does the Xperia C4 has in store for us geeks?

Sony Xperia C4: Another Midrange Story

The Sony Xperia C4 is definitely gunned for other Chinese phablets carrying an octa-core CPU. The duo has a similar set of specs aside from the fact that the C4 dual has a dual SIM capability.

Under the hood, the Sony Xperia C4 churns with a MediaTek MT6752 SoC with 1.7-gigahertz octa-core CPU and Mali 760 MP2 for graphics. The chipset is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB native storage with microSD support.

Sony Xperia C4's LTE connectivity will take advantage of the network's speed for fast data access over the web and mobile. The rest of the specs include the 13-megapixel rear snapper and the 5-megapixel selfie camera; both have their respective LED flash modules. And yes, the handset will be powered with Android 5.0 Lollipop and 2600 mAh battery.

The device is similarly “specced” with the popular Meizu m1 note which has been getting a lot of attention lately.  You can get the Sony Xperia C4 and C4 Dual in Black, White and Green hues. Pricing and Philippine availability have not been disclosed yet. However, it'll hit selected markets in early June.
