HP outs 7-inch Android Tablet named Slate 7: 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, Android Jelly Bean at USD 169 (Php 6760)

Hewlett Packard's entry to the Android market is the 7-inch tablet called the HP Slate 7. After dropping the WebOS last 2011, HP is set to conquer the mobile computing department with this affordable tablet.

We all know that HP is one of the best brands when it comes to personal compuers and laptops, with that being said, its premium-ish design philosophy is reflected in Slate 7. For the specs-centered, this tablet is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU. Its 7-inch screen is an FFS+ LCD with 1024 x 600p resolution.

The RAM is acceptable enough to be 1GB and internal memory is 8GB with microSD card expansion support. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will run the whole show in this tablet and the 3.15MP rear shooter is nothing but a bonus feature.

The most interesting part? HP retails this slate for just USD 169 that's like Php 7,000. HP Slate 7 is available starting April. Good job HP!
