ZTE Grand Era V985 announced: 4.5-inch IPS display, 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, 8MP Camera and ICS

ZTE unveils the world's slimmest quad-core phone called the ZTE Grand Era V985. The handset's name may be a bit off but this is pegged to be the next flagship phone of the Chinese premium brand manufacturer.

Basing on the specs, this will give other brands a run for their money. Its "PC-Class" NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor is ticked in 1.5GHz that will certainly offer a smooth smartphone experience in a 4.5-inch IPS capacitive display. Screen density is touted to have a stunning 326ppi, just like the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. Out of the box, it'll be with Android 4.0 but will be upgraded to the buttery Jelly Bean OS.

“The Grand Series has many distinguishable features that set it apart from other smartphones in Philippine market. The handsets are high-quality yet price competitive which satisfy the demand for high-quality and affordable smartphones across the country, “said Mr. James Chen Yi.
Mobile shooters will have to deal with the 8MP BSI AF HD camera with 1080p full video recording. Other "meat" includes 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB).
The ZTE Grand Era V985 is expected to be available in Q1 2013 with a Php 14,999 price.
