Asus unveils the next generation
of the phone-and-tablet combo with Asus PadFone 2 today in Taiwan. The concept
is revolving in a phone that can be docked in a tablet interface called the
PadFone Station.
The stand-alone phone has a
4.7-inch (1280x800 resolution) IPS+ screen running in a quad-core Qualcomm S4 APQ8064
SoC. Camera is powered Sony CCD technology with a 13MP sensor in the rear part
and 1.2MP in the front panel. It having a 2GB of RAM makes it into the flagship
level competing against other Android powerhouse. Battery-wise, the device will
juice-up with 2140 mAh. The device will come with the buttery Jelly Bean
(Android 4.1.1).
Meanwhile, the tablet part will
have a 10.1-inch display and will be juiced-up by a whopping 5000 mAh battery.
Availability will be in phone-only or phone-plus-tablet options. It will come
with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants with prices ranging from Php 25,500 to Php
31,000.
