The anticipated 32GB Google Nexus 7 pushed down all the existing 16GB variants’ prices all over the world including the grey units here in the Philippines. Leading and trusted online store, Widget City, is now offering the Big G’s 7-inch slate for just Php 12,980.
The Php 11,900 8GB variant is nowhere to be found in their site because Google seems like dropping this entry level configuration. Previously, the 16GB Nexus 7 is priced at Php 14,600. With the advent of the 32GB-variant and 3G-capable Nexus 7, the price is also expected to drop to Php 11,900 (previous 8GB asking price). So if I were you, I have to hold that hard earned money for a couple more weeks.
The 32GB and the 3G variants are expected to be officially released during the October 29th Google event. However, reports claim that the supposed event was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. We might hear a rescheduled date from Google anytime from now.
