Symbian Belle starts rolling: How to update your N8, E7, E6, X7, X6-01, C7, Oro and 500



Nokia has started rolling out updates for its latest Symbian Belle-compatible phones. Symbian Belle is the latest mobile operating system from Nokia’s Symbian line. Nokia promises “new and improved performance” in phone’s software after the Symbian Belle update, and they keep on stressing that this would bring the feeling of having a brand new phone with the same old hardware.

This update promises a bump in phone customizations. It features the six home screens that can be individually customized, live widgets and drop down menus. Plus, it can now exercise screenshot funtions. Likewise, the new Belle update also offers new imaging applications like HD Video recording at 30 fps. The browser also achieved optimum performance.

Symbian Belle update is compatible with the following phones: Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, Nokia Oro, Nokia 500 (available within the next few weeks).

This update is also available in other countries like India, Russia, UAE, Turkey, Poland, UK, Germany, Italy, Vietnam and Indonesia. Check out steps below on how to update your OS to Nokia Symbian Belle.

Symbian Belle Update Steps
  1.         Download and install the latest Nokia PC Suite version 3.3.86
  2.         Connect your supported Nokia handset to your PC via USB
  3.         Click the Software Update in the Nokia PC Suite
  4.         Follow directions on screen (Nokia will backup your files)
  5.      .  Enter phone PIN when asked

This update has an official release of February 8, but Nokia had started the update yesterday. If you are experiencing technical problems with the update, it might have been Nokia is still on the process of completing the version. You can try again in some time.
