Acer fires up for another tab

Acer continues to engage in the “tablet wars”, after the pursuit of its 10.1’’ Iconia A500, with the new Acer Iconia A100, the very first 7’’ tablet that runs with Android 3.2 (Honeycomb).Interestingly, it is at par with the other 10.1 inch (1.45 lbs) tablet in terms of its features:

-          Dual Core Tegra 2 Processor
-          1 GB RAM
-          1024 x 600 pixel resolution
-          5 Mega pixels and 2 Mega pixels camera
-          Micro-USB  and micro HDMI ports

Acer had stressed its hardware weigh of .92 pounds compared to the super-light Galaxy 10.1. Aside from the usual ports like 3.5 mm headphone jack and charger port (it won’t charge by USB), it comes with the micro-SD port for you cheap storage needs. Plus, the battery is up to 5-hours. It comes with 2 flavors, the 8GB version which is $ 329 (more or less Php 14000) and the 16GB version for $ 349 (more or less PHP 15000). Speed factors is not really an issue since it is running with Honeycomb.
