Apple AirPods Max 2 becomes official today. The new wireless headphones feature the H2 SiP (System-in-Package). This package powers Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Audio, and Live Translation. Users can purchase the device in five colors. The headphones also support high-resolution lossless audio through a USB-C connection.
Buyers can choose from midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue color options. Eric Treski, Apple's director of Audio Product Marketing, stated the device's main benefits. “With the incredible performance of H2, AirPods Max are upgraded with up to 1.5x more effective ANC for the ultimate all-day listening experience,” said Eric Treski. He also highlighted the audio enhancements. “The sound quality is remarkably clean, rich, and acoustically detailed — and when combined with capabilities like Personalized Spatial Audio, AirPods Max 2 deliver a profoundly immersive experience”.
The H2 processor improves Active Noise Cancellation by 1.5 times over the previous model. This technology reduces background noise from airplane engines and trains. The device also incorporates a new high dynamic range amplifier which maintains the original sound signature and produces cleaner audio.
The headphones support 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio. To experience the highest-quality audio format, users must connect the included USB-C cable. This wired connection allows musicians to mix tracks with Personalized Spatial Audio and head tracking technology. Wireless audio latency reductions also improve responsiveness during iOS, macOS, and iPadOS game sessions.
The H2 enables several new smart functions. Adaptive Audio automatically adjusts noise cancellation and transparency levels based on the environment. Meanwhile, Conversation Awareness lowers media volume and reduces background noise when the user speaks to someone nearby. Voice Isolation prioritizes the caller's voice and blocks ambient sounds during phone calls.
Apple Intelligence powers the new Live Translation feature. This tool helps individuals communicate across different languages in person. Likewise, content creators can utilize the studio-quality audio record function to capture natural vocal textures. A camera remote feature lets users take photos or control video captures from a distance.
Apple designed the device with 100 percent recycled rare earth elements inside all magnets. The company plans to release the AirPods Max 2 soon for customers in the Philippines. Retail prices start at Php 34,990. New subscribers receive three free months of Apple Music when they purchase the headphones.
