TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G released with 8000mAh battery, Dimensity 7100 processor

TECNO expands its POVA lineup with the POVA Curve 2 5G, a slim 7.42mm smartphone featuring an 8000mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, and HiOS 16 based on Android 16.

The POVA Curve 2 5G weighs 195 grams and uses a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. TECNO includes Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for front protection and gives the device an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone also carries SGS certification for 1.5-meter drop protection.

The battery is TÜV SÜD-certified for long lifespan and designed to operate in extreme temperatures between -20°C and 60°C. TECNO says it can last up to six years. The device supports 45W fast charging with Bypass charging for rapid top-ups.

Software runs on HiOS 16, which integrates AI features such as content summaries, writing assistance, call noise reduction, and automatic photo enhancements. TECNO’s Ella AI Assistant provides personalized interactions, while FlashMemo and Mind Hub manage notes and AI-generated content.

Connectivity improves with dual-signal enhancement, allowing better cellular and Wi-Fi performance in crowded or weak-signal environments. The device supports offline voice, text, and image communication up to 1.5 kilometers in open areas. TECNO promises two major Android OS upgrades for the device.

The POVA Curve 2 5G comes in three colors: Melting Silver, Storm Titanium, and Mystic Purple. It launches first in India in February 2026 and will appear at MWC 2026 from March 2 to March 5. Pricing has not yet been announced.
