realme 15T 5G Review: 7000 mAh Battery in Stylish, Compact Body

The realme 15T is positioned in the more affordable segment among the realme 15 series of smartphones. I have spent several weeks with this phone, and I could see how this phone make sense in the current number series lineup. With the price tag of Php 16,999, the phone brings a mix of long battery life, capable performance, and reliable cameras, all while staying thin and easy to carry.

realme 15T Review

On paper, most of its features like a 7000 mAh battery, a Dimensity 6400 Max 5G chipset, and dual 50MP cameras sound like a done-deal for buyers in this price range. But before you jumped the gun, you might want to check out my experience with the phone and see how it kept up with my daily routines in this review.

Pros

  • Large battery capacity
  • Durable, stylish build
  • Good cameras
  • Useful software tools

Cons

  • No ultrawide camera
  • No 4K video recording

Design and Build

The realme 15T is a candybar phone that feels very light and slim at 7.79 mm thickness. At 181-gram weight, I'm quite surprised how well it fits the 7000 mAh large battery capacity. I have the Flowing Silver colorway for my review unit which comes with a smooth finish that resists fingerprints. The aluminum alloy lens ring gives the back a bit of contrast and structure.

realme 15T Review: Design

realme 15T's durability is also worth noting. With IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, the phone is built to handle dust, rain, and even pressure sprays. I used it during a quick drizzle at the park; I also used it by the pool without worrying that it'll be splashed with water. Despite the rugged rating, it is still comfortable to hold. The rounded frame and balanced weight help during long days of shooting or gaming.

Display

The phone features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. I'd say this is the perfect screen size that's not too big nor too small for a daily driver. The screen also has a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4000 nits of peak brightness. Under direct sunlight when using outdoors, the screen remained clear and easy to read. Scrolling through social media feeds feels smooth, and the 240Hz touch response is helpful during gameplay.

realme 15T Review: Display

One thing I want to point out is the phone’s almost uniform thin bezels that frame the display. I appreciate this detail because it adds to the overall experience when consuming content. Plus, the phone also comes with dual stereo speakers which produce clear audio with decent bass. Watching videos or flipping through photos outdoors felt natural and uninterrupted. The display matches the phone’s overall feel: responsive, bright, and easy to use anywhere.

Moreover, there is a DT Star D+ glass for protection to keep scratches at bay for those times when it’s frequently slid in and out of pockets.

Performance and Gaming

The realme 15T runs on the Dimensity 6400 Max 5G chipset with up to 12GB RAM. The RAM is expandable to 26GB via Dynamic RAM Expansion. App switching is quick with virtually no crashes, and realme’s AI Multitasker helps keep frequently used apps ready to load faster.

realme 15T Review: Performance

When it comes to gaming, I could say that the phone can run multiple titles. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile ran smoothly at 60fps with stable temperatures. Even Genshin Impact is playable in moderate settings. The wide selection of games is supported by a large 6050 mm² cooling system. Even during longer gaming sessions, there were no major frame drops or heating issues. Moreover, features like GT Boost, Geek Power Tuning, and AI Ultra Touch Control allow you to fine-tune performance.

If you're keen on benchmarks, I ran some tests and the realme 15T 5G tallied decent scores. AnTuTu score of around 596221, which places it firmly in the midrange space. In our Geekbench 6.0 Benchmark tests, the phone scored 2033 MC, 806 SC. Likewise, when it comes to our graphics benchmarks, the phone tallied 1427 in OpenCL and 1415 in Vulkan.

realme 15T Review: Benchmarks

Despite its decent showing in benchmarks, what matters more is its sustained performance, which remains solid even under heavier use.

Camera

Both the rear and front cameras use 50MP sensors, which is unusual at this price range yet very practical. This means selfie and main camera shots share similar resolution. The rear camera is a wide sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF capabilities. It is complemented with the 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

realme 15T Review: Camera

Shots during the day came out lively and sharp. Colors lean slightly boosted but not exaggerated. There's also camera-leaning tweaks like AI Landscape+ that helps enhance wide shots, especially when capturing large attractions. The camera's AI helps adjust framing for better landscape composition. The feature also removes haze or fog which improves photos drastically.

You can also take advantage of filters like “Misty” and “Déjà Vu” which give some photos a soft, nostalgic tone that felt ready to share without editing.

Low-light shooting was the downside for me. For its price, I think it could've delivered better performance. Photos appear slightly washed out, and details feel off-putting. Meanwhile, there's also a handful of AI software for camera — the AI Glare Removal and AI Unblur helped clean up reflections and motion, especially around the glowing signs and rides at night. The front camera remained consistent, which is great for vlog-style clips and selfie shots.

Video recording is stable enough for casual shooting. However, the resolution max out at 1080p in both cameras. It also has no optical stabilization, but there's software correction which kept footage smooth while walking.

Battery and Charging

The 7000 mAh battery easily lasted more than two full days of moderate use. On gaming-heavy days, I could still get through without needing a mid-day charge. That kind of endurance is rare in a slim phone.

realme 15T Review: Battery

The 60W SUPERVOOC charger gets the phone to 50 percent in about half an hour and to full in a little over an hour. Smart Bypass Charging is useful for gaming since it powers the device directly and reduces heat and battery strain.

realme says the battery can retain 80% of its health after around 1,600 charge cycles, which translates to about five years of daily use. This feature adds long-term value and definitely a welcome information for purported buyers.

Software

The realme 15T runs on realme UI 6.0 that's based on Android 15. It has several AI features that help with photo editing and daily tasks. For one, the AI Edit Genie adjusts images based on voice instructions, while AI Smart Remover 2.0 cleans backgrounds and reflections.

Another note-worthy tweak is the Mini Capsule at the top of the screen which shows quick info like charging and step count, and the AI Smart Loop helps streamline app workflows. These features work quietly in the background and feel practical rather than gimmicky.

Verdict

The realme 15T is a good contender under Php 20K segment. The phone focuses on battery reliability without sacrificing aesthetics. It is a performer in several areas like gaming, cameras, and display.

realme 15T Review: Verdict

If you value long battery life, easy camera usability, and stable performance, the realme 15T is a strong everyday phone. It may not be positioned as a Pro model, but in day-to-day use, it holds its own and sometimes even surpasses higher-tier models in endurance and simple reliability.

The realme 15T is priced at Php 16,999 for the 8+256GB model and Php 19,999 for the 12+512GB variant.
