realme is back again with its Number Series but this time it's tweaking the designation of its current realme 15 lineup. It turns out we won't be having a "Pro+" model, but instead the company made it official that the "Pro" version will be taking over as the series' top of the line model. And the new realme 15 Pro 5G is shaping up to be one of the most exciting smartphone releases to date.
It looks like the realme 15 Pro 5G feels like a phone made for people who need power, creativity, and reliability in one package. I recently got my hands on it, and right from unboxing, it set the tone for what could be one of the most versatile devices of the year.
What’s in the Box?
The unboxing is pretty straightforward with realme sticking to its bold yellow packaging. Inside, you’ll find the realme 15 Pro 5G itself (already fitted with a pre-installed screen protector), an 80W SUPERVOOC fast charger, a USB-C cable, a clear soft case, and the SIM ejector tool.
Nothing flashy, but complete. It’s exactly what you need to get started right away. There’s also some paperworks that you could refer to should you need it.
Design and Display
The realme 15 Pro 5G feels premium at first touch. My unit came in a sleek Velvet Green finish that highlights the curved display edges. There’s also a Flowing Silver colorway for those looking for hues of dirty white.
The colorway and construction give the phone a refined look without being too flashy. The phone is slim, comfortable to hold, and I feel like I could use it for longer hours. Surprisingly, it’s very light despite packing a 7000 mAh battery inside.
On the back, you’ll think that it has a triple-camera setup but we only have two sensors - the main and the ultrawide. These are highlighted by the MagicGlow 2.0 - three small lights integrated into the module that can be adjusted for tone, warmth, and brightness. This system adds practical lighting for portraits and gives the phone a unique identity.
On the front, there’s a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that packs 1.5K resolution. We have a 144Hz refresh rate, and an insane 6,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen delivers crisp visuals in almost all lighting. Plus, it delivers smooth animations and vivid colors.
It’s one of those panels that makes you want to keep using the phone just for the viewing experience.
Performance and Hardware
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm) chipset runs the show here. It is paired with a generous 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. To keep things stable, there’s a massive 7000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system under the hood.
Multitasking has been smooth so far, and I haven’t noticed any stutters while switching between apps or running heavy tasks. This setup clearly leans toward users who game, edit, or simply need a device that doesn’t break a sweat. In terms of software, the phone runs on realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15.
Cameras and Battery
This is where the realme 15 Pro 5G gets really interesting. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with OIS, and support 4K 60fps video recording. Alongside it, there’s a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 115.6° field of view, and is also capable of recording 4K 60fps for seamless transitions between lenses.
Up front, a 50MP selfie camera continues the 4K video trend. What I like is the consistency. The front, main and ultra-wide cameras are all capable of the same high-quality video output. This makes it easier for creators to put together polished content without worrying about mismatched footage. The dual-view video mode is another plus which lets you record with both front and back cameras at once.
As mentioned, there’s a 7000 mAh battery inside this device and it’s paired with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Early use suggests that endurance won’t be a problem here, even with heavy usage.
Early Verdict
The realme 15 Pro 5G already feels like a phone designed with creators in mind. The highlights for me are the 7000 mAh battery, the highly capable display, and the consistent 50MP sensors in all cameras.
I’ll be spending more time testing the cameras and performance over the next few days, but as far as first impressions go? The realme 15 Pro 5G looks ready to compete not just in specs, but in the actual experience it delivers.
