LG OLED TVs Earn TÜV Rheinland Certification for True Visual Experience in Indoor Lighting

LG Electronics has confirmed that its 2025 OLED TV lineup received the “True Visual Experience with Indoor Lighting” certification from TÜV Rheinland. This marks the first time OLED TVs have earned the recognition. This highlights LG’s focus on delivering optimal picture quality in well-lit indoor environments.

TÜV Rheinland awarded LG’s latest OLED TVs a “Perfect” grade in five critical visual performance categories: blackness, vividness, perceptual contrast length, gradation, and ambient contrast modulation. The certification process tested the displays under 500 lux lighting, which simulates a well-lit indoor environment. LG OLED TVs demonstrated the ability to retain high visual accuracy and depth, even in bright conditions.

Additional certifications from other global bodies support LG’s display performance. UL Solutions verified the panels for “Perfect Black” and “Perfect Color,” while Intertek confirmed 100 percent color fidelity and color volume. These recognitions reflect the OLED TVs' capacity to deliver sharp contrast and precise color reproduction across different viewing scenarios.

According to market research firm Omdia, LG captured approximately 52 percent of global OLED TV shipments in Q1 2025. The brand also became the first to surpass 10 million OLED TV unit sales in Europe as of April 2025. LG continues to strengthen its position as a leader in OLED technology and global television markets.
