For 12 straight years, LG has dominated OLED TV shipments, consistently improving the viewing experience with superior audiovisual quality and AI-driven personalization. The brand continues to highlight the core strengths of OLED technology, offering perfect black levels and increased brightness for an immersive experience.

According to market research firm Omdia, LG led the global OLED TV market in 2024, shipping 3.18 million units. The company saw a particularly strong performance in the fourth quarter, surpassing 1.1 million shipments. This demonstrates LG's ability to meet the increasing demand for advanced television technology that aligns with shifting consumer preferences.
In 2023, OLED TVs made up 45% of the premium TV market, which includes models priced at USD 1,500 and above. This was an 8.5 percentage point increase from the previous year. OLED TV adoption is expected to surpass 50% in 2024, with LG continuing its focus on innovation to maintain its leadership in the industry.

As consumer interest in larger screens grows, shipments of ultra-large OLED TVs have increased. These models now account for 16% of the OLED TV market. LG has maintained a strong presence in this segment, holding a 57.5% share in 2024 for OLED TVs 75 inches and above. The company offers a range of options, including 77-inch, 83-inch, 88-inch, and 97-inch models.
With over a decade of OLED expertise, LG plans to introduce new TVs featuring wireless transmission of 4K 144Hz content without latency or quality loss. The company also focuses on AI-driven personalization through webOS and continues to improve picture quality with higher brightness and perfect black levels.
Global TV shipments reached 208.8 million units last year, marking a return to growth after three years of decline. OLED TV shipments rose 8% year-on-year, reaching 6.07 million units. LG's total TV shipments, including both OLED and LCD models, amounted to 22.6 million units, representing 16.1% of global TV market revenue.
