Infinix NOTE 50 Pro continues the company's strong showing in the budget-to-midrange space. The whole new series in general is gathering a lot of buzz locally and abroad; and we're very lucky to have our hands on this latest device. Join us in this first impressions of the device before we drop the review in days time.

What's in the Box?
The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro’s packaging is a surprising mix of design finesse and user-focused features. It is still a slide-thru box but this time it has a COD Mobile theme that’s on the cover print. The actual box comes with a two-textured finish of silver and gray colors. Inside, you'll get the usual inserts like the documentations, USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, hard case, and wall adapter.

Plus, NOTE 50 Pro also includes an SVIP card and a screen protector to help safeguard the display from scratches and everyday wear. These thoughtful extras enhance the overall user experience and add convenience from day one.
Premium Flagship-worthy design
Straight out of the box, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro feels solid and well-built. It has a matte finish that resists fingerprints and a slightly curved back that improves grip. The design is definitely modern and is fitting to be called a 2025 handset. I was pleasantly surprised by how premium the NOTE 50 Pro feels in hand. We have a full metal frame with visible antenna bands that’s durable, premium and built for battle.

Likewise, I can also say the same to the back panel, it gives the impression of high-grade metal, offering a satisfying and comfortable feel. We have a chunky camera module which houses the camera sensors and the LED flash.

When it comes to the ports and buttons, we still have the same familiar placements. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right, the bottom side has the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port and the speaker grille. The top side has the secondary speaker, another microphone, an IR blaster and the "Sound by JBL" logo.

Flipping the device, the large display immediately stands out. We have a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. In my initial testing, the colors pop nicely, and scrolling feels fluid right from setup. I'm also glad to see thin bezels with uniform "thinness" all over. To be honest, this phone feels like it's in the league of flagship devices when it comes to its design and display.
Hardware and Camera
Performance-wise, the device runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and extended RAM support for up to 12GB. This means you can use up to 24GB of hybrid RAM. Our unit also comes with 256GB of storage. This combination delivers a snappy experience in day-to-day tasks and light gaming. It ships with XOS 15 based on Android 15, and while the interface still includes some pre-installed apps, it’s mostly manageable and customizable.

The 50MP main camera is another highlight. It promises detailed shots in good lighting. Early test photos look sharp with decent dynamic range but we will discuss more in our review. The 32MP front camera also shows promise for selfies and video calls. Battery-wise, the 5200mAh capacity with 90W wired and 30W wireless fast charging support suggests this phone can easily last a day or more of moderate use.
The Wrap: Very Promising Smartphone
So far, the Infinix Note 50 Pro shapes up to be a well-rounded option for users in need of a dependable daily driver. If Infinix prices it under Php 12,000, it could easily be another standout in the budget segment. It's also the only phone in its expected price range to offer a premium metal frame, 90W wired and 30W wireless fast charging, and a class-leading 144Hz refresh rate.

The device combines fast charging and long-lasting power with its 5,200mAh battery, allowing users to stay connected longer without sacrificing speed. We’ll explore its gaming performance, camera capabilities, and long-term battery life in our full review. The device is also expect to have a Philippine launch this April 24.
