Kia Philippines has introduced the new Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid in Glorietta 2 Activity Center. This launch brings a hybrid powertrain to the Sorento lineup for the first time in its 23-year global history. The new model combines fuel efficiency, all-wheel drive capability, and modern design, offering an alternative for eco-conscious drivers in the Philippines.

The New Kia Sorento Turbo HeV
The Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid features a 1.6-liter turbocharged Smartstream Gasoline Direct Injection engine combined with an electric motor and a lithium-ion traction battery. This hybrid powertrain delivers a combined output of 235 PS and 367 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission for optimized performance. The model is available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants, with multiple drive and terrain modes for various driving conditions.
Equipped with Kia’s Electrification Vehicle Motion Control (E-VMC) system, the Sorento Turbo Hybrid enhances handling, ride comfort, and safety. The E-Handling, E-Ride, and E-Evasive Handling Assist systems improve stability and driving confidence. Smart Regeneration technology adjusts battery regeneration based on driving conditions, maximizing efficiency. The hybrid powertrain enables fuel consumption of up to 23 km/l in urban settings and exempts the vehicle from the number coding scheme.
Inside, the Sorento Turbo Hybrid offers a premium cabin experience with leather upholstery, power-adjustable ventilated seats, and dual 12.3-inch digital displays in the EX+ and SX variants. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system is available in select models. Additional features include wireless charging, a smart tailgate, mood lighting, and a panoramic sunroof in the SX variant.
For safety, the Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid is equipped with Kia DriveWise, an advanced driver assistance system that includes Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot View Monitor, Lane Keeping Assist, and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor. The SX variant also includes Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist and Safe Exit Warning.
The Sorento Turbo Hybrid is available in three variants: the EX Turbo Hybrid FWD (PHP 2,188,000), the EX+ Turbo Hybrid FWD (PHP 2,588,000), and the SX Turbo Hybrid AWD (PHP 2,888,000). Color options include Volcanic Sand Brown, Aurora Black Pearl, Silky Silver, and Snow White Pearl. Kia offers a five-year or 160,000 km warranty for the vehicle and electric motor, and an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty for the traction battery.
