Tri-folding HUAWEI Mate XT | Ultimate Design released: Specs, Price, Availability in the Philippines

HUAWEI introduced the HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN, the world's first commercial trifold smartphone. The company also launched a new range of audio devices, wearables and tablets at the HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The device features a 10.2-inch tri-fold display and a 3.6mm ultra-slim frame, making it the thinnest foldable smartphone with the largest foldable screen.

The Mate XT supports three display modes: a 10.2-inch triple-sized display, a 7.9-inch dual-sized display, and a 6.4-inch single-sized display. The screen integrates multi-directional flexible materials that improve bend resistance by 25%, ensuring durability against compression when folded inward and tension when folded outward. The Composite Screen Structure, which incorporates non-Newtonian fluid materials and large UTG glass, enhances impact resistance by 30%.

The Advanced Precision Hinge system allows both inward and outward folding. The hinges, constructed from ultra-high-strength steel, ensure durability and smooth transitions between display modes.

HUAWEI has not disclosed the Mate XT’s processor specifications. The device includes 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. A 5600mAh battery powers the smartphone, supporting 66W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge.

The Mate XT features a Star Diamond Design camera module with a 50MP XMAGE main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The front camera includes an 8MP selfie sensor.

The smartphone runs on EMUI 14.2, with the App Gallery providing access to various applications. It is available in Nebula Red and Black with a premium vegan leather finish designed for a smooth, anti-fingerprint surface.

The HUAWEI Mate XT is priced at EUR 3,499 (approximately PHP 212,500). Availability varies by region, with the device launching in the Philippines in March. More details are available on HUAWEI’s official website.
