BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility, the official distributor of BYD passenger vehicles in the country, have marked a significant milestone in the New Energy Vehicle market. In 2024, the Ayala mobility solutions platform sold 4,780 BYD passenger vehicles. This securing an 82% share of the Philippine NEV market.

Out of the 4,780 BYD passenger vehicles sold in 2024, 2,078 were models such as the BYD Seagull, Dolphin, Atto 3, T3, Seal, Han, and Tang, giving BYD a 69% market share in the battery-electric vehicle segment.
The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i was the top-selling model with 2,669 units sold in 2024. Introduced in July, it also captured a 19% market share in the combined NEV and hybrid electric vehicle segments from July to December.
These sales figures contributed to an overall growth of 8,900% in 2024 compared to 2023, placing BYD as the 11th best-selling automotive brand in the Philippines with a 1.0% market share.

Globally, BYD sold 4,272,145 New Energy Vehicles in 2024, marking a 41.26% increase from 2023. This was the first year BYD exceeded 4 million unit sales, establishing it as the Global New Energy Vehicle Market Sales Champion.
In the Compact-SUV segment, the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i commanded a 14.6% market share in 2024 overall and a 25.9% share from July to December. Additionally, 1,062 units of the BYD Atto 3 subcompact crossover were sold, achieving a 35% market share in its segment, while the BYD Seagull, introduced in September, sold 411 units and captured a 38% share in the BEV segment in the last quarter and 14% for the full year.
BYD Cars Philippines has expanded its dealership network significantly. From only two dealerships at the start of 2024, the company ended the year with 25 operational locations nationwide and has approved 52 new dealer locations for 2025.
These developments, along with ACMobility’s expanding EV charging network and the ongoing nationwide BYD Tech Tour, are part of efforts to support the Philippines' transition to electric mobility.
