Epson is redefining storefront printing with the launch of the SureColor SC-F1030 Direct-to-Garment printer and the SureColor SC-V1030 A4 desktop UV printer. Designed for versatility and high performance, these printers provide brick-and-mortar businesses with advanced solutions for mass customization, enabling them to meet evolving customer demands with precision and efficiency.
According to Deloitte’s consumer research on mass personalization, one in five consumers is willing to pay a 20% premium for personalized products or services, signaling a growing demand for custom offerings in retail. In response, Epson is introducing cutting-edge non-paper printing solutions designed to cater to the dynamic needs of the retail sector. The SureColor SC-F1030 Direct-to-Garment printer and SureColor SC-V1030 A4 desktop UV printer provide businesses with powerful tools to meet the increasing desire for personalized and customizable products in brick-and-mortar stores.
The SC-F1030 is particularly suited for novelty gift shops and storefronts looking to enhance their customization capabilities. It offers both Direct-to-Garment (for large prints) and Direct-to-Film (for smaller logo prints) modes, providing flexibility to meet diverse customer demands. On the other hand, the SC-V1030 stands out with its extensive substrate compatibility, including materials such as wood, acrylic, and stainless steel, allowing businesses to expand their product offerings beyond traditional textiles or paper.
Epson’s latest printers are designed with space efficiency in mind, making them ideal for retail environments where space may be limited. The SC-F1030 is the smallest Direct-to-Garment printer Epson has produced, making it perfect for tight workspaces. Similarly, the SC-V1030’s compact design allows it to be easily placed on desks or workbenches, while its front operation design ensures easy access for maintenance. Both printers feature wire-free placement at the rear, enabling convenient positioning against walls or corners, optimizing space utilization.
When it comes to print quality, both printers deliver exceptional results. The SC-F1030 utilizes a PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead, offering enhanced performance with faster speeds and more accurate dot placement. It also includes an Auto Gap Adjustment feature for optimal printing height on garments. Meanwhile, the SC-V1030 excels at producing high-quality prints on a variety of materials, including fine text and intricate designs. It is equipped with smart features like Auto Height Adjustment for substrates up to 70mm thick and a Wide Gap Function to enhance clarity on three-dimensional items such as golf balls and phone cases.
Noelle Gonzalez, Marketing Division Head at Epson Philippines, highlighted the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional printing. “With the latest addition to our SureColor series, Epson is forging ahead towards a future where printing on any surface, be it garments or even novelty goods, can be done on-demand,” she said. This marks a significant shift in the industry, showcasing Epson’s dedication to revolutionizing non-traditional printing solutions.
