HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro released: What's the Difference?

HONOR has introduced two new highly sought-after smartphone models: the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro in China. Both smartphones share identical designs and key features, including the same rear camera setup, battery capacities, and Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. However, the primary camera sensors, specific chipset models, and some additional features like wireless charging set them apart.

The HONOR 200 is priced lower than the HONOR 200 Pro, making it a more budget-friendly option. The HONOR 200 Pro is slightly larger with a 6.78-inch display, compared to the HONOR 200's 6.7-inch display.

Both models feature a 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto lens, and 12MP ultrawide/macro camera, but they use different primary sensors. They both have a 5200mAh battery with 100W wired charging, but only the Pro model supports 66W wireless charging. Additionally, the HONOR 200 Pro boasts a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the HONOR 200 is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.

What's the Key Difference?

Key differences between the models include the primary camera sensors, with the HONOR 200 Pro using the H9000 sensor and the HONOR 200 using the Sony IMX906 sensor. In terms of connectivity, the HONOR 200 Pro includes the HONOR C1+ RF enhancement chip for improved wireless and cellular connectivity. Additionally, only the HONOR 200 Pro supports 66W wireless charging, a feature not available in the HONOR 200.

Price and Availability

Both models are available for pre-order in China, with open sales starting on May 31st. The HONOR 200 is priced at CNY 2,499 (Php 20K) for the 8GB+256GB configuration, while the HONOR 200 Pro starts at CNY 3,499 (Php 28K) for the 12GB+256GB configuration. As of this writing, HONOR Philippines has not yet announced if they'll bring these phones in the country.
