vivo Y100 5G becomes official as it debuted in Indonesia today. The smartphone comes with a power-efficient 5G chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which is catered for the budget-level 5G segment.

Aside from the processor, the vivo Y100 frames a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is also reported to have a max brightness of 1200 nits.
When it comes to its design, the vivo Y100 5G is embellished with a premium fiber leather backing and a 2.5D metallic frame with Purple Orchid and Black Onyx colorways.
The handset boasts a 50MP main camera, a wide-angle camera, and a flicker sensor. It would come with the vertically laid-out camera module that is reminiscent of the standard Galaxy S series smartphones. On the front, there's an 8MP selfie camera.
The phone packs 5000 mAh battery and supports 80-watt fast charging; which vivo claims to last all day in just a 15-minute charging session. The vivo Y100 5G is priced at IDR 3,899 (approx. Php 13,900) for the 8 + 128GB, and IDR 4199 (approx. Php 15,000).
Locally, there's no word about its availability. There are many handsets that could pose as competition to this smartphone including the recently released Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series.
