Samsung officially unveiled its smartest and most durable wearables, the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro, in the recently concluded Galaxy Unpacked event. Loaded with insightful and intuitive tracking technologies, both devices are designed to become everyone’s personalized wellness companion day in and day out.

Galaxy Watch5 Series with the cutting-edge BioActive Sensor

Having a smartwatch is like having a smartphone at your wrist, but better. As part of Samsung’s mission to be part of its community’s wellness journey, the tech giant designed the Galaxy Watch5 Series with the cutting-edge BioActive Sensor to not just monitor essential health data but also provide insights that ultimately shape better wellness habits. With its advanced features and powerful capabilities, the newest iteration of the Galaxy Watch lineup is committed to help its users achieve their fitness goals and milestones in the smartest way possible.

The Galaxy Watch5 Series is composed of two exciting additions to the brand’s growing wearable lineup. The Galaxy Watch5, which comes in 40mm and 44mm Bluetooth and LTE variants, is designed to complement the lifestyles of trendy fitness seekers with its holistic health tracking and coaching capabilities. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, coming in 45mm Bluetooth and LTE variants, is suited for outdoor sports enthusiasts, and athletes as it boasts the advantage of having a double titanium casing, longer battery life, and outdoor-specialized features.

Both watches provide personalized feedback that aims to let its users understand their bodies better and improve sleeping patterns. This is made possible by their built-in Body Composition feature that measures muscle mass, fat, and water, Heart Rate and Blood Oxygen tracker that monitors invisible vascular condition and any abnormal symptoms, and Sleep Coaching feature that provides data-based insights to improve quality of sleep.

Hiking, cycling, and running enthusiasts who are looking for much more advanced functions will love the Galaxy Watch5 Pro’s special features designed for outdoor activities. It has Route Workout, which allows users to import preset route files in GPX format, and Track Back, which provides a guide on how to return to the jump-off point safely. It also boasts a Turn-by-Turn Directions feature that commands users on the road through voice and vibration guides.

The Galaxy Watch5 Series also doesn’t disappoint when it comes to battery life. The 40mm Galaxy Watch5 carries a 284 mAh battery and the 44mm Galaxy Watch5 a 410 mAh battery, both guaranteeing longer usage and faster charging. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch5 Pro carries a massive 590 mAh battery, the largest Samsung smartwatch battery to date.

All models of the Galaxy Watch5 Series are powered by the Exynos W920 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Other features include compatibility with any 8.0 Android phone or higher, LTE and Wi-Fi support, and Bluetooth 5.2.
