The Infinix Note 12i is the follow-up to last year's Note 11i, and is part of the Infinix Note 12 series. The device sports a waterdrop design and frames a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display. Comparing this to its predecessor, we are seeing a slightly smaller display and a downgrade in terms of screen resolution (from FHD+ to HD+). However, the new iteration now supports up to 90Hz screen refresh rate.
Performance-wise, the smartphone is still powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset. Like the previous model, it's paired with 4GB RAM, but it now features a bigger native storage capacity of 128GB, with expansion option of up to 1TB via microSD. Likewise, it also features RAM expansion of up to 3GB virtual RAM. The Infinix Note 12i comes pre-installed with XOS 10.6, based on the Android 12 mobile operating platform.
In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a 50MP triple rear camera system with Quad-LED flash and an 8MP front camera lens with dual-LED flash. The rear cameras feature Ultra Night mode, portrait mode, panorama, HDR, and PDF. In addition, it can record up to 30fps of 2K video, while the front camera supports 30fps Full HD video recording.
The Infinix Note 12i encased a large 5000 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging. For security, the smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock for authentications. In terms of audio, we have dual speakers capable of reproducing cinematic stereo effects, assisted by the onboard DTS audio engine. This adds a better experience while playing games or consuming media on the device.
The handset has been listed on the Kenyan e-commerce website at KES 20,500 (approximately, P9,257 as of this writing) for the sole 4+128GB model. It comes in three colors: Sunset Golden, Jewel Blue, and Force Black.
