Foodpanda campaigns for safer and protected service through community vaccination

Foodpanda riders were given the opportunity to sign up for their free vaccination slots thanks to the Taguig City Vaccination Drive. As the best shield against COVID-19, being vaccinated is important for them as essential frontline workers that give the best service possible to customers.

Last July 13, 2021, this drive was held at the Vista Mall Vaccination Hub for the morning schedule and at Building B7 Bonifacio High Street for the evening slots. With the goal to encourage as many riders as possible to get vaccinated, this free vaccination initiative was made possible by foodpanda’s Rider Experience and Regulatory and Public Affairs team, in coordination with the Taguig City office.

Jao Manahan, Operations Manager for Rider Experience, mentioned how this initiative is geared towards ensuring that while riders give the best service possible to customers, they are also given the opportunity to safeguard themselves. To show support, he also took his first vaccine jab during the said drive.

“As one community, we are very happy that the riders are open to initiatives such as these. In these trying times, it is important that we give them access to opportunities that help protect them in their line of work. Our thrust is to always put our riders first, that’s why we make sure that they are safe and protected in more ways than one,” he adds.

More vaccination drives in other communities are scheduled in the next few weeks. As foodpanda continues its #ItsWorthTheShot campaign, more riders are expected to avail their own vaccinations -- paving the way for a safer and better service to all.
