What’s Inside the Box?
Before we get into the meat of our conversation, let’s enumerate first what items are included from the box. Of course, we have the main Ace 32 Slim LED TV to start with. On top of that, we have a pair of detachable stands, remote control with triple A batteries, and a user manual. There are also screws for fastening the stand to the TV's base and some adhesive foam for protection.
Design and Display Quality
Based on its moniker, the Ace 32 Slim LED TV touts a slim footprint especially on the bezels area. With its 32-inch display, it only comes with minimal dimensions. The LED TV is measured at 77 (L) x 11 (W) x 50 cm (H). This means that it only has 11 cm on its thinnest point. I love how minimalist this could get due to its dimensions. This also means that I don’t need to purchase bulky TV racks to fit it in my room. Likewise, you’ll also have the option to have it wall-mounted with a bracket which is also a deal-maker for me.
Its display uses an AMOLED technology which gives clear and crisp pictures. The Ace 32 Slim LED TV only comes with a high definition resolution. At this price point, having an HD display is quite a standard. We played movies via Netflix which comes with HD resolution using a compute stick, and pictures come off as fine.
The display registers good whites and blacks, contrast is on-point, and viewing angles are also very welcoming. I tried playing a 1080p movie; though pixels tend to get visible in the eye, it’s still fine.
Specs and Ports
To be specific, the Ace 32 Slim LED TV Black comes with a 1366 x 768p resolution. It supports 60Hz refresh rate and 5ms to 10ms response time. It is worth mentioning that there is no noticeable lag in motion. When it comes to the ports, this LED TV has a pretty handful of standard ports and buttons.
Back Panel
For one, the back panel is a home to several ports – Video Out port, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, VGA, VGA Audio In, and Antenna. The power cord is also found in this panel. Moreover, you can find the traditional AV IN or Audio-Video In, and Component In ports on a separate panel. You can use an RCA jack to connect into these ports. Plus, there are two USB ports and an audio jack in this side. I love the fact that you can have easy access to these ports even when the LED TV is mounted on the wall.
Additional features
Aside from the regular TV set, you can use the Ace 32 Slim LED TV Black as a monitor to your personal computer, or a second monitor to your laptops. The HDMI and VGA connectors serve that purpose. The overall sound quality of the TV is quite okay. It tends to get louder but in the mid volume, it strikes a balance between lows, mids and highs.
Furthermore, you can also do multimedia playback using the USB ports, as long as you save the files in your thumb drive. Of course, you need to have compatible files to get it working with Ace 32 Slim LED TV.
Verdict: Should You Buy Ace 32-inch Slim LED TV?
The Ace 32 Slim LED TV Black (LED-808 DN4) offers great value for its very affordable price of ₱4,599. This LED TV is perfect for small rooms, and those consumers who wanted to have a compact yet capable LED TV in their homes. It may only have a 32-inch display but it’s still a good family TV which you can share at home in watching great titles with your loved ones.
